KittelbergerKustron, Rubeo, and Schwartz are back with a vengeance for the second season of the Hockey Players Club podcast. Not only polluting the internet with their own hockey opinions but this time including a candid interview with Hal Gill.

A veteran of 16 NHL seasons and over 1,100 games, Gill currently works as the color commentator of the Nashville Predators radio broadcast team in addition to being one hell of a “bag chucker,” which he breaks down in the interview. Plus, he talks about his transition from college to pro hockey, matching up against Jagr, dropping the mitts with Chara, and partying at Lemieux’s house after winning the Stanley Cup. All before being hit with a rapid-fire round of this-or-that before the final question we’re all dying to know:

If you were currently playing in the NHL and had one night off in one NHL city with any two past teammates of your career, what city and which teammates would you choose?

ICYMI:

The Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, and Boston Bruins are the only undefeated NHL teams through Tuesday, October 8th.

Not be outdone by Anthony Mantha’s 4-goal effort against the Stars Saturday night, James Neal scored 4 goals in an Oilers victory Tuesday… but a little too late to be named to the NHL’s 3 stars of the week:

  1. Mika Zibanejad: 2 games played, 4 goals, 4 assists
  2. Anthony Mantha: 2 games played, 5 goals, 2 assists
  3. Auston Matthews: 3 games played, 5 goals, 0 assists

The Drew Doughty-Matthew Tkachuk rivalry heats up early this season as Doughty taunts the Flames fan after his overtime game-winner Tuesday night.

The Philadelphia Flyers debut a “Rage Room” for fans.
